Betty Brown-Williamson Merit Scholarship
The Pearls of Wisdom and Grace Foundation (POWAG), in collaboration with the Iota Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., proudly announces our 2025 Betty Brown Williamson Scholarship in honor of one of IPO's Charter Members, Betty Brown Williamson.
As a charter member of the Delta Sigma chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL, she will soon celebrate the milestone of 62 years of dynamic impact within the sisterhood and has been an active and engaged member of Iota Psi Omega since our chartering in 1973. Known for her accolades of being a business mogul, respected educator, and community servant, she demonstrates the epitome of achievement, merit, character, and grace.
With this inaugural scholarship, we seek to honor current female college students who are trailblazers who are current college sophomores, juniors, or seniors. These young ladies must have a permanent residence and/or have graduated from a high school within our service area (Clarke, Green, Elbert, or Stephens Counties), maintain a 3.2+ GPA, and show excellence in community service and leadership.
